With many companies struggling to recruit enough young talent to support their growing businesses, here is an initiative that will help promote careers in construction to tomorrows workforce.
The Hertfordshire LEP are building an ‘Enterprise Adviser’ network to create powerful, lasting connections between local businesses and schools and colleges in the area.
Nationally, Constructing Excellence are very supportive of this initiative and are encouraging all members to help raise the image of construction and reach our future talent pool by ‘adopting a school’.
I’d like Herts & Beds CE to be at the forefront of this excellent campaign by supporting the LEP and doing our best to provide as many Enterprise Advisers as we can.
They are looking for leaders from local organisations who can spare about a day per month to work at a strategic level, helping to draw up effective employer engagement plans for a particular school or college. By volunteering you will have a direct impact both on improving the opportunities for young people and plugging the gaps in skills provision.
Find out more by coming along to an ‘Enterprise Adviser Network Meeting‘ on Wednesday 20th April at the Biopark in Welwyn Garden City. See attached invite for more details. Alternatively get in touch with me directly to discuss the opportunities to inspire the next generation.
