As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we are delighted to announce that our nominated charity for 2024 is OneYMCA.
In previous years, we have undertaken fundraising efforts for various causes, including Great Ormond Street Hospital through the sale of honey and other initiatives. However, we have never had an official nominated charity – until now. This year, we have chosen to support OneYMCA, an organisation that makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and beyond.
Why OneYMCA? OneYMCA provides vital services such as supported housing, health and well-being programmes, youth services, and community outreach. Their work focuses on empowering people, fostering resilience, and helping individuals build brighter futures. By supporting OneYMCA, we are directly contributing to initiatives that offer shelter to those in need, guidance for young people, and opportunities for individuals to achieve their potential.
We are excited to work alongside OneYMCA throughout the year, raising funds and awareness for their invaluable work. We will be inviting them to our 20th Anniversary Lunch on 15th May at Tewingbury and have set up a JustGiving page: HBCEC fundraiser for ONE YMCA
