Hertfordshire firms lead the way in finding new ways to build faster, better and more economically. Here’s an opportunity to hear two of the country’s leading authorities in using innovative technologies and processes. They will outline how building smarter saves their clients money. They will also explain how it helps deliver more projects on time, on budget and with lower risk.
Tim Carey, Product Director, Head of Engineering & Design Innovation and Improvement Team at Willmott Dixon, will explore topics such as BIM, product development, DfMA (designing for manufacture and assembly) and standardisation and discuss Willmott Dixon’s approach to innovation. You will get a chance to see how this is put into practice with the Sunesis range of pre designed schools.
Peter Folwell, Director of Plowman Craven, will showcase the benefits of utilising the latest 3D laser scanning and virtual reality technology. He will discuss how this enhances the ability of BIM to provide ‘Construction Verification’, an assurance for stakeholders that the physical as-built condition matches the design or existing drawings.
